extensive renovations. This traditional Kyomachiya is steeped in Japanese
cultural heritage and history. Step inside, a unique piece of Kyoto awaits.

Kyoyumean is nestled among some of Kyoto’s oldest, most beautiful attractions.Nijo castle, Sanjo dori, Shijo dori, Karasuma, Kawaramachi, Gion are but a few of the famous sights within a short walk of this bustling neighborhood. Numerous temples, shrines and shopping districts are all in your backyard.
To the north, Nijo castle and the imperial palace. Heian shrine, Nanzenji temple, Yasaka shrine, Chion-in, Kodaiji temple, Maruyama park and Kiyomizu-dera temple lie to the east. Travel south to ?nd Toji temple and Nishi Honganji. Kinkakuji (golden temple), Ryoanji temple, Ninnaji temple, Renge-ji temple are to the northwest. A short ride on the keifuku line from shijo omiya station will bring you to Arashiyama. Kyoyumean is your foothold to numerous attractions.
